so what's new?

oh yeah so. I'm in impending grad school doom.
(okay so it's actually fine & I am excited x 20.)

life is draining all of my creativity away. I am slowly but slowly becoming stupid, capable only of making the occasional meal and petting the occasional wandering cat that passes by my station in this chair.

then I get up & go outside & play frisbee.

saturday I rolled up the carpet in my room & looked at the pretty pretty wood floor. & I was like, I have 1 million papers to fill out & 1 million checks to write/mail, and thennnnnn more work work work, but I just want to look at the sunlight on all this blonde wood & wax sentimental.

so I did.

I guess it needed to happen.

post script, I love THUNDERSTORMS.

haha well slowly I am getting used to real life. you know, accepting my life/status as a for real college graduate, etc. yes yes yes I will be in the real city! my school is downtown so I must be close to trains & buses & stuff. & my dear beloved little sister is living with me & cat so we are getting a 2 bedroom. she's going to a school a few blocks away. it will be heavenly. I even found a place already! signing a lease next week!!

:o :o Tokyo, wow! that's amazing! are you learning heaps of japanese? are you all cultured & everything? that is so so so exciting. why wouldn't you want to live there?

That is amazing! I'm glad you found a place & living with your sister & real actual city-ness = ridiculously exciting! (And I really like knowing that there is life to be had as a college graduate and not just a big yawning abyss because, dude, I am kind of scared.)

Let's see...my Japanese is not so good, but I am trying! I'm taking class, and I have frequent discussions with my host mom about correct particular use, so? Definitely have much better listening comprehension now, though. My (pretty much only)reason for not wanting to live here is the language barrier. I like the English language, I like knowing what's going on, I like being able to talk to strangers, I like being able to find and pay for a tube of face wash in a drug store without it taking twenty minutes and lots of gesturing. I dunno. :/ Tokyo has definitely confirmed my suspicion that I love cities and I need to live in one, though!
